Questions
We won't call it a FAQ because in truth these have been asked maybe once BUT, answers to random shit we have been asked about the game below. You may also comment to this post to ask questions which will be answered and then added to this post.
Feeding. More details on how it works.
Feeding is ALWAYS an antagonist move on someone else. So you can't feed on self-harm/your own misery/someone else lying to you etc. Hunger is only satisfied by violencing/lying to/causing misery to/licking the tears of someone else.
In the case of bodily fluids, they must be literally ingested. However, for the other three hungers it's just sort of /fingerwaggle, you do the thing and feel more satisfied (or perhaps your appetite just whet, if it was only a nibble).
In the case of lying, as long as it is you lying to someone else just about any kind of lie counts. Such as saying the truth but lying in mannerisms/tone to make others think you feel differently about it than you do.
Feeding is the ONLY want to satisfy hunger, there is nothing else in the world that characters would consider 'food'. If you gave them a pancake they wouldn't have the faintest idea of what to do with it.
Roles! More deets!!
A Champion is NOT considered to be failing their role by letting a martyr be damaged. This is the only circumstance where a family member being hurt by another family doesn't reflect poorly on the Champion of the injured party.
You CAN app as an exile (Storier/Berserker) sssometimes. Email the mods if this is a thing you want to do so we can discuss it.
It is totally okay to app a role knowing your character will suck at it (whether that's due to incompetence or laziness), there are IC mechanics in place to handle such things. HOWEVER, please don't app knowing your character will just entirely refuse to engage with the premise despite this game being in every way designed to make sure they have every reason to engage with it.
Apps and Player/Character Caps!
To start everyone gets to app one character, but we will open up seconds fairly soon.
We aren't planning for player or character caps at this time. If it becomes a thing it becomes a thing but we'd rather avoid it. We expect the game can hold roughly 70 characters but we have some wiggle room.
Suggestions?
If you have suggests on changes to the game you can feel free to email the mods. HOWEVER, keep in mind that we've revealed maaaaybe 30% of the game to players and a lot of what exists does so with the whole game in mind. So we may have to say no we aren't changing X without giving much detail as to why for the sake of maintaining some mystery on future events.
